TurfNotch Spreader Settings
Convert seed and fertilizer application rates to accurate spreader gate notches.
TurfNotch provides instant, offline spreader gate calibration for homeowners, DIY lawn care enthusiasts, and turf managers. Bag labels specify application rates in pounds per 1,000 square feet, but rotary and drop spreaders use proprietary dial notches. Calculating the correct gate opening often leads to uneven patches or scorched turf from over-fertilization. TurfNotch eliminates guesswork with direct rate-to-notch calculations and walking pace cadence guidance, designed specifically for bright sunlight and outdoor yard work. CORE FEATURES • Universal Rate Converter: Convert bag application targets (lbs/1,000 sq ft or grams/sq meter) into exact gate dial notches across broadcast and drop spreaders. • Offline Turf Utility: Fully operational without an internet connection. Calibrate spreaders in backyards and remote acreage without connectivity dropouts. • High-Contrast Outdoor Display: Built for direct daylight readability and designed with large tap targets suitable for work gloves. • Integrated Pace Guide: Built-in walking cadence reference helps maintain consistent walking speed to ensure uniform distribution and prevent nitrogen banding. • Custom Granule Calibration: Measure a test run, enter your spreader width and collected material weight, and calibrate proprietary granules or custom seed blends. • Privacy by Design: No account creation, no analytics tracking, no network requests, and no device permissions required. Achieve uniform seed coverage and precise fertilizer distribution on every pass with TurfNotch.
